Shark Wahlberg: Man Follows Live Shark Trackers (And One Turtle) and Uncovers Megalodon Conspiracy, Goes Viral

Great white sharks already have a reputation thanks to Hollywood. Films like Jaws and Sharknado have truly solidified the villainous characters that sharks must be. However, if you watch the nature documentaries and listen to the shark specialists, then you know they're not truly our enemies. The past couple of years there have been a little over 70 documented shark attacks each year. That's truly not that many compared to other creatures, like dogs, who on a yearly basis bite around 4.5 million people…

So, to broaden the knowledge of sharks to the people, you can visit a website that shows you the path of certain sharks (and other sea creatures) being tracked in the ocean. TikToker who goes by “Shark Wahlberg” shared this information on the app one day, and has since gone viral for it. Not just because it's interesting to see where these sharks are bouncing to and from (maybe to avoid swimming in those certain areas), but also because he has some questions that need to be answered.

Missing Shark

The TikToker notices that many of the sharks will just drop off the map inexplicably. He tries to figure out where they might have gone, but it's as if they just disappeared. He points out that it's some of the largest sharks being tracked that are going missing. So he questions where did they go? Did they just go to a place in the ocean so deep that the tracker loses signal, OR—and what he has most of his viewers starting to believe—these sharks are getting eaten up but some other mysterious huge ocean dweller that we don't know about. He is convinced this might be a Megalodon we're dealing with.

A Megalodon is basically a giant AF great white shark. They were suspected to have existed during the dinosaur era, but have since been extinct—or at least that's what the government WANTS you to believe.

How does a shark this size just disappear?!

Extinct?!

He believes that a Megalodon might not be the most obvious answer to the in weird behavior and inexplicable sharks gone missing, but he definitely believes it should not be ruled out. The existence of a Megalodon have never truly been explored and it could very well be plausible. The giant creature would have been around for millions to billions of years. Sharks and trees are already the oldest living things on this earth, it would make since that the Megalodon is hella old and thus has evolved to be even harder to detect—live its blood temperature evolving to show up as a huge school of fish on thermal cameras.

Megalodon Hiding

Viewers are hooked and are choosing to watch his content him over anything on Sharkweek. He also is an advocate for sharks, so he also helps spread the world to help keep these creatures safe.
