As 'We Are Closed' Signs Pop Up Across the Country, Twitter Roasts Exploitative Employers

Remember a year ago when everyone was all like 'omg thank you to our essential workers, you guys are heroes!' Well apparently it doesn't take long for the narrative to switch back to 'these lazy wage workers are crybabies.' Across the country, franchises everywhere are putting up the same passive aggressive sign: 'We are short staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did show up. No one wants to work anymore.' For the millions of people who either lost their jobs at the beginning of the pandemic or had no other choice but to power through unsafe work conditions, this trending sentiment among the managerial class only adds insult to injury.
