TikToker Almost Slices off His Arm for a “How-To” Video, Proving Once Again TikTok Is Dangerously Idiotic

The Internet can be a marvelous place, but sometimes (arguably, more times than not) it's a garden for dumb ideas to bloom. There's always someone on the web trying to do a trend or just go viral and end up getting seriously injured. That's what happened with TikToker Gray Davis recently. A video of a guy flawlessly opening a coconut has been going viral, so Davis decided to make his own how to open a coconut video for the clock app.

Unfortunately, things went terribly wrong the second he made the cut. Davis says that he was too busy trying to make sure he looked good in the video, so he wasn't paying close enough attention to the velocity of his quick slice and it went too deep and chopped his arm instead. He quickly realized that he made a grave mistake.

The entire incident was caught on his home security system, so he re-watches it now and is able to laugh. He shares the store on TikTok and it goes way deeper than just the cut. Davis cut his hand and his first thought was to call his mom. He asked Siri to call his mom and she did not understand the request (classic Siri). So he quickly changes his mind after he sees how much he's bleeding and asks Siri to call 9-1-1.

As he's on the phone with 9-1-1 and following their instructions to put pressure on his wound, his doorbell rings. His packages were there. Even in his distress and still on the phone with emergency dispatchers he goes to the door and gets his packages and walks back in. Hearing the interaction on the other line, 9-1-1 said he should ask the delivery guy to stay with him until help arrives. However, when Davis went back outside to ask him, he was too far and Davis had gotten too weak.

He tried to call out to him, but he started to get light headed. Instead he had to sit down on the floor of his porch. Luckily, neighbors spotted him and came to his rescue! They quickly MaGyver'd a tourniquet and were able to keep him conscious and stop him from losing too much blood. They stayed with him until the EMS arrived.

The Incident:

This might of not been the “how to open a coconut” video that Davis wanted, but it did end up being the example video of why TikTok is a realm for many mistakes.
