High School Teacher Dreads Going Back to School After Summer Vacation and Makes Funny Videos Instead of Preparing Lessons

Unless you have experience managing the lives of pubescent, moody, hormone factories, there’s really no way of relating to a 9th grade biology teacher. Teaching high school freshman is a task that is certainly much more difficult than anyone gives it credit for.

One woman, who is in her early years of her teaching career, has documented her challenges as a teacher through funny skit videos. Teaching 13 year olds about cell division and chemical reactions has never been more relatable.

As summer comes to an end *cries internally*, she has made one of the most relatable videos yet. As many people know, the biggest draw to being a teacher is the fact that they have health care, retirement options, and THE BEST SUMMER PTO VACATION EVER.

However, every year, that sweet sweet victory comes to a bitter end, as teachers go back to school in the fall. So just like when we were kids, teachers mourn the last few days of ultimate freedom before returning to tear-stained hallways and gum under their desks. Time to say goodbye to your friends from the summertime.

Although fall courses may not be in full swing yet, the teachers are already being given assignments and curriculums to examine, waving goodbye to the midday naps, pizza for breakfast, and general laziness that enveloped them over the summer break.

And who can blame them ! With such a long vacation, how do you go back to regular life? Why not stay semi-retired forever? What a nice life that would be…

But as teachers all over the world snap back to the reality of their own work lives, they can only imagine the wonders that await them NEXT summer, as they make plans to visit their summer cottage, gain 15lbs, and go to Cancun for a girls weekend. Dream on teachers!
