Suspicious “Quotes” That Give Words A New Meaning
Mastering written English is a difficult endeavor. With all the grammatical rules and different languages it steals from, speaking it can be hard enough. However, add putting pen to paper into the mix and there's a whole new rulebook to contend with.
Many pedants out there have raged against the mistakes that people frequently make with written grammar, from the classic misplaced apostrophe to using the wrong type of there, their or they're. By far the most amusing of these slip ups, though, are rogue quotation marks. Immediately adding a level of intrigue to whatever word they caress, these errors have the potential to be very funny indeed. The examples below only prove this.
