If there is one thing that we think we can predict about our future, it's that we will meet our doom by trying to pet something that we shouldn't. Animals are too cute, man! They're irresistible! Especially cats and kittens! If we had been in the position of the twitter user in this thread - if a bobcat momma and kitten showed up randomly in our backyard, we would have probably gone out and tried to pet them already, and that would have been it for us.
Bobcats are sooo underrated in our opinions. They are adorable. If you need any proof of that, just check out this story about a dehydrated bobcat kitten who got rescued and grew into a beauty, or this other story about an abandoned bobcat kitten who got mistaken as a house cat, got rescued, and started acting like one anyway, or this other-other story about the awwdorable adventures of rehabilitating a bobcat. Or just read this thread. We promise, you'll have a whole new appreciation for bobcats by the end of it.
Like, how can anyone possibly resist going out there and trying to pet these cuties? Just lookat them playing around! They look like regular house kitties, just ever so slightly larger and pointier. Self-preservation instinct? We have never heard of such a thing. Must. pet. cat.
For days. These bobcats showed up on this property for days. Talk about an adorable yet mildly terrifying thing to wake up to. How in the world you would leave the house to throw the trash out with the two of them there is beyond us. Clearly, if you tried to do that, the instinct to pet would overwhelm you.
