He even goes back to college after losing his job just to make sure he can support his boy. The entire film is an emotional roller coaster and it doesn't get any easier in the sequel, An Extremely Goofy Movie. Since it's 1999 and 2000 release, these films have had a chokehold on millennials who grew up on them. You could say they helped morph us into who we are as a parent and just as an adult trying their friggin' darnedest to function properly in life.
