Heartwarming Stories Of Pregnant Cats Choosing Their Humans Right When They're Needed The Most (Viral Twitter Thread)

We all know that cats are some of the most pawsome and independent creatures out there. They don't need a lot from their owners usually. Just change their litter, give them water and food, pet them whenever they explicitly ask for it and for exactly as long as they allow, and they should be fine. This means that whenever a cat decides to ask a person for help… it is extra important that you do help them. And whenever a pregnant cat asks a person for help… we have to say thank you to the people who choose to help. 

This isn't the first time we have read about pregnant cats asking humans to help them. Pregnant cats clearly understand that during this incredibly taxing time, having shelter and food is of utmost importance. And clearly, based on the number of stories of pregnant cats choosing humans that are in this thread - cats know that humans can and will help them if they ask.

    It's so important to help animals who ask for help. It's such a rare thing for them to cross that divide into humanity and ask for something. It cannot be something that is easy for them to do. So, even if you don't know what exactly they need from you, clearly, they need something, and they need it enough to take that step.

    Cat - James (he/them) =C @AquartistJames ... Yeah, sometime the surprise pet comes with bonus pets! In our case it was a stray who gave birth in our sunroom, stayed until the kittens were weaned, and then vanished. Never saw her again but the kittens are all fixed in their new, loving homes.

    Cat - Chris @ex_nerd In our case, there was no way he was pregnant. But one of our indoor cats was dying and the one thing this cat seems to live for is caring for other cats. He cared for the dying and then became a surrogate for the lonely brother. He's since mothered 2 rescue kittens, too.

The vet palpated her and said she was 100% pregnant and said I should get her an ultrasound, but once they did the ultrasound they were like "oops, not kittens. Just poop."
