‘This all happened because someone stole food from an 18-year-old laborer’: Young blue collar worker uses hot sauce to get back at lunch-stealing coworker, sparks lifelong love for extremely spicy foods

Isn't it wonderful when something that feels like an awful situation actually turns into something beautiful? That's exactly what happened to this young blue collar worker. He was no more than 18 years old and started working construction. As a newbie in many ways, the older and more senior coworkers would pick on him. One guy straight up would steal his food right in front of his face like a high school bully and even asked him, "what're you gonna do about it?!" As retaliation, he did the classic hot sauce trick and spiced this bully out of oblivion. That could have been the end of that and now he has a petty revenge story under his belt. Instead, this revenge plot blossomed into a lifelong love for spicy food. Now OP can't get enough spice, he even grows his own ghost peppers. It seems that the spice might have come out of being petty, but it stayed out of love and passion (and maybe a little bit of an addictive personality?
