Working in customer service can be somewhat of an annoyance when you have to deal with difficult customers. Sometimes you just want to clock in and clock out without feeling like you lost a tiny bit of your soul during your shift. When dealing with difficult customers, the saying is, "The customer is always right!" How can that be true 100% of the time? It's important to realize that our beloved customers and employees are cut from the same cloth.
Counterfeit currency has circulated through our financial system since people realized they would be able to fake bills. Some fakes are pretty poorly made, but there are those specific few that you'd never guess were faux unless they were run through a scanner. Cashiers typically need to check if larger bills are fake because they'd lose out on a larger amount of money compared to small bills.
The customer in this story decided to switch the script after having their bills checked in a counterfeit scanner. So, the employee decides to return the customer's attitude and demeanor.
