Time can often make us forget why we decided to end the friendship, and soon we'll find ourselves reminiscing on all of the secrets shared over happy hours and laughing until both of our tummies hurt. Time has a funny way of distorting memories, usually in a way where we don't remember all the drama and negative things we had to deal with.

The original poster (OP) starts off by saying that she had cut off an old college friend, Ashley, for multiple instances of disrespect. The OP has a new friend, Jen, who she adores and has no complaints about. After a few months of space from Ashley, the OP talked it through with her and decided that the friendship might be worth rekindling, though Jen was apprehensive about this.

Jen might've had a sixth sense. After several months of smooth sailing, Ashley started asking the OP if she had feelings for Jen's boyfriend. Repeatedly. The OP has never given any indication that she had feelings for him and confirms that this is a ridiculous accusation. OP told Jen right away, but things only got worse. Ashley and her husband make snide comments about OP and Jen's boyfriend with Jen present, and it all gets very messy.
