‘She’s at a hard age': Grandma provides free childcare for grandkids but entitled daughter flips when she asks for a break, internet assures her she's an amazing grandmother
They say it takes a village to raise a kid, and in some sense, it's true. Children are not easy. You have to not only keep them alive and from hurting themselves by accident, but you also have to make sure they learn how to blossom into a decent human being. It is a lot of pressure. Once you go through the parenting phase, you look forward for the grand parenting age. This is when you can enjoy all the fun parts of raising a child and leave all the hard parenting parts to the actual parents aka, your kids. You have already done the raising, it's time to just have fun. However, like we previously stated, it takes a village, so some grandparents sometimes become very hands-on in the care process to help their own kids out.
This grandma in particular was providing free childcare. That is already super helpful! However, the kid is now at a tough age and she is finding herself exhausted by the end of her childcare "shift." When she asked for a break, her daughter, aka the actual mother of the kid, flipped out at her. Now she is feeling like she's a bad grandmother. But the internet won't allow that!
