Wife's late father leaves inheritance to her brother and mother only, husband pressures her to kick them both out of their home: 'My wife received nothing'

If this isn't your first foray into the internet's family-drama trenches, you already know that the phrase "family helps family" often gets wielded like crowbar to pry open boundaries. Sure, plenty of families genuinely live by that motto without issues, but even the most loving households can start to crack when temporary help slows evolves into an open-ended commitment.

In this case, time wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back; it was an unfair inheritance. After a woman took in her mother and brother following her father's passing, her husband stepped up in every possible way: managing bills, handling paperwork, sorting out the estate, essentially running their lives because they couldn't. That's when he discovered that his FIL had left a sizable life-insurance payout to his MIL and BIL… but nothing to his wife. And now MIL wants to put the entire payout into her son's name while still living with the couple, rent-free, and relying on them for everything. Everything all comes to a head when the husband finally pushes back.

    2nd edit: a lot of people are asking so I'll clear it up. We didn't even know about any life insurance policy when we took them in, it was only after very extensive digging through his records that I found out there was such a policy.
