People form cult-like fan bases for all sorts of random things. TikTok's most recent cult-fanbase that's been cultivating is for Adam Sandler's classic film Click. If you haven't seen the movie yet, don't worry, there are no spoilers here (shockingly), but you will probably start to be a little weirded out by the movie.
The 2006 comedy, starring and produced by Adam Sandler, is about a workaholic dad who comes across a magical remote in a Bed Bath & Beyond that can control time with the options on a TV remote—hilarity and drama ensue. The movie grossed over $40 million during opening week and satisfied many Sandler fans.
Now, it's turned into an entirely new monster with whatever the heck is going on here with TikToker @365daysofclick.
Day 365 of Click:
The page is viral video after viral video of the TikToker showing off his strange DVD collection. The covers of these DVDs are all slightly off from the actual film they're supposed to be. Many featuring the Click cover, but with a different title and/or actor. Like… a LOT of Click DVDs.
Many of the TikToks also feature the cover of a movie slightly changing with each new DVD case shown, but always ending up as some form of Click.
Trying to find the one Click that you need:
Recently, he posted a video that showed the cover of the movie 300 eventually changing to say 305 and transforming the main character to actually be the rapper Pitbull. The video got over 300k views and even caught the eye of the rapper himself. Mr. 305 worldwide reposted the video on his own social media account and has really skyrocketed the popularity of this peculiar Click fan art account.
Mr. 305:
Many of the videos also tell a story with the Click fan art covers. They'll usually have a slight change in the image that is being used in place of Sandler on the Click cover and the title is a new word in the sentence with each change of DVD case. Sometimes the sentence is just a random thought and sometimes it's a nihilistic view on Santa and group projects.
Death of Santa Click:
A Quiet Place:
Seriously, the account has over 300k followers and keeps growing every day. It's difficult to figure out if this guy truly just loves Click that much or thinks it's so dumb that he keeps making Click content to troll Adam Sandler. Either way, it's really creating a huge cult following—who knows, maybe the next disastrous cult will be all about Click. All hail the Click.
