There are lots of crazy things on the Gen-Z clock app that goes viral, but this one takes the cake. TikToker Keenan Artelli recently posted a video that is going crazy viral of a cockroach she had to get surgically removed from inside of her ear—and we're not talking baby cockroach, we're talking big boy roach, like the size of one of those gag roaches you use to prank someone.
Artelli's original video shows her at the hospital with little roach legs popping outside of her ear. If that isn't enough to make you want to vomit, the entire video shows the process of the doctor removing the bug from her head. They were able to fully remove the creepy crawlers, but oh lord the imagery is grotesque. The video is just reenforcing so many different people's phobias.
“Super fun way to start your morning at 4am"
If you're squeamish, maybe don't watch this—the video literally starts off with a zoom into her ear and you can see the roaches legs wiggling! *chills* Artelli says it was extremely painful, though there is no blood. She says in a “storytime” video, that she felt the critter crawling into her ear. She tried to blow it out like as if you're trying to pop your ears, but nothing happened. The entire idea of a roach in her ear, combine with the pain had her throwing up multiple times. She tried a few more at-home tactics, but to no avail, and, again, she's in a lot of pain. There is a literally bug trying to crawl into her brain…
She only attempts herself for about 30/45 minutes before she rushes over to the hospital. The doctors were able to remove it, in pieces, and put it back together to make sure they got every part of the bug. The freaky roach wasn't in there long enough to lay any eggs, but they made sure she was all cleaned up before they sent her home.
“Storytime”
After posting the video she got tons of comments asking questions and cracking jokes—like many Papa Roach puns. And she's been posting updates and responses to them on her profile. Why did this video go so viral so quickly? Because this is a real life phobia many people have. I'll be sleeping with ear plugs in tonight, thank you.
