The impressive figure, which the Greeks claimed was an offering to Athena after their "return home," was in fact filled with Greek soldiers prepared to open the gates for their hidden countrymen. The story is impressive, and now memers are a 2015 illustration of the subterfuge as an object labeling meme. The results are pretty glorious.
