Employee Maliciously Complies to Dress Code by Wearing Extra Tight “Appropriate” Outfits After Boss Reprimands Her for a Male Coworker Ogling Her

Listen, some jobs have a certain dress code and when you apply for the job, you know exactly what you're getting into. Jobs like lawyer, banker, or politician are all jobs that you don't even need to read the description to know that you're going to have to dress a certain way. Just like you don't dress business professional to be a clown and you don't wear a clown suit to be a business professional. (Is that a saying? I just made it one…)

But, even in these professions you expect to get an official dress code to follow, and if not, you do the best you can. TikToker Josee aka @joseesansthepussycatz was a banker who was never officially given a dress code. She knew what she was getting into, however, and made sure to wear the appropriate banker attire that she thought fit. Apparently, with the bank she was working with, the dress code was up to each individual branch. She never got an official document from her branch letting her know what she should wear, but she made sure to stay appropriate. This mean a lot of black and dark blue dresses that were at least knee length. Usually most of the shoulders are covered, no cleavage, etc.—the usual code that women get in these types of professions

However, one day, she was wearing a very basic black dress—the sleeves completely covered her shoulders, it went well to knee length, and the neckline was practically up to her chin—and yet, for the first time, she got a stern talking to for a dress code violation

“I hate office politics”

She could not figure out why this specific dress was deemed inappropriate until she heard the tea from some of her other coworkers. Apparently, her boss was talking to a new male employee when she caught his stare lingering a little too long on Josee's behind. Instead of reprimanding this inappropriate ogling in the workplace, Josee got the brunt of the situation.

Because of this, she decided to maliciously comply to this new “dress code” and wear outfits that technically meet all the parameters but still make her a$s look fantastic. The dress code “violation” happened in early April, and she did her malicious compliance for three months, documenting it on TikTok along the way.

Day 7 (Wears the original “violation” dress again)

She only did it for three months, because she ended up getting a new job and was able to get out of the banker situation. But before she left, she made sure to wear as many form fitting “appropriate” outfits as much as she could. On her last week there, she even threw in some bodycon dresses and even a slip dress. She even wore the exact same dress she got in trouble for in the first place, but she added some mesh sleeves to make it “appropriate." She looked fantastic the entire time, and guess what? She never got in trouble for how she dressed again.
