If your entire business consists of taking care of other peoples' kids, maybe providing those kids with their most basic human needs should be worked somewhere into the budget. Just a thought.
When u/frodothebaker sent an email to their employer inquiring about why on earth their tutoring company had a bizarre "no water for kids" policy, their boss doubled down and gave some BS excuses about expenses and "spills." Spills? Really? You're telling me the entire staff of a school is supposed to deny water to kids in order to prevent spills? I bet the parents just love that.
OP also included a copy of their resignation letter and a bit of context in the thread.
Needless to say, redditors in the comment section were flabbergasted by the “policy.”
“Water spills are SO very difficult to manage.” said u/Disastrous_Lunch_899.
“Hey, don't discount the fact they were going through almost 2 (TWO!) 24 packs of water a week.” said u/FeeHistorical9367.
“I decided to call my local news station. I left a message - I should hear back later.” said OP.
“Stuff like this is why I don't mess with bathroom breaks as a primary teacher. You need to go to the bathroom/get water/etc? Sure, just stay quiet in the halls and don't dawdle. My job is to teach the class not police a few students bathroom breaks.” said u/bonez656.
