"Go ahead and tow me!" Ok. Hey there Reddit! I love some malicious compliance first thing in the morning. Hope you enjoy this short and sweet story. I work for a meditation and holistic wellness store. Our parking lot is very small and shares spaces with other businesses and so we have

marked spots for the different businesses. On this particular morning, a gentleman parked in one of our spots and then proceeded to not come into the store or any of the other businesses we share space with. I went outside and kindly asked him to park somewhere else as there is ample parking throughout the area. He oh so

kindly flipped me off, to which I said "If you walk away, I can have your car towed." He continued to flip me off as he walked away and said "Yeah ok, go right ahead." So I did. The tow company came and took his car.

Needless to say, he was SUPER I when he got back and his car was missing. Caused quite a scene and asked why the f— I towed his car. To which I replied "You said to go ahead and tow your car. Besides, it's bad karma to steal someone else's parking space." I gave him the card for the tow company and told him to have a nice day. Happy Friday, jerkwad

Zebulon_V Haha, I actually had an opposite experience once. We were in a similar situation, smallish strip mall kinda thing with limited parking. My GF (now wife) and I parked a couple businesses down and went to shop for something. We were about a half hour before getting back to the car and there was a piece of paper under the wiper

blade. It said something along the lines of "Sorry for the inconvenience, but we have limited parking and this spot is clearly marked for our business only. We saw that you went into another shop, and wanted to make you aware. Bring this in for 30% off your next meal at

our deli. Have a good day!" We honestly didn't see the sign marking the spot. Guess where we had lunch? And did not use our discount because good on them for doing that!

Sirix_8472 Mine isn't malicious compliance its just a bit funny. I finished work late one night, locked up shop and jingling the keys in my hand as i cross the road. I step between a few parked cars, make a few steps and think ive forgotten something.

I walk back between the cars for some better light, so im now close to stepping back onto the road (there were street lights on only one side of the road, the opposite side) A car pulls up windows. down yelling "move your car, move your car its blocking my driveway". I look about a bit, noone else. there and i move back on the path, start to look in my

backpack. Guy gets out of his car yelling at me, hes gonna have me towed and i cant get a word in edgeways much but i can see where he wants to go and the offending car i happen to be standing beside. I finally catch a break though its only been about 20 seconds "im going for KFC, if you're still here when im

back we'll watch what happens together". This guy is now effing and blinding as i walk away. Kfc in sight about 200m away. 20 mins later im back with food and this guy is still outside car planted in the middle of the road. He says "its too late, i already called". I sat on a low wall next to us and started eating. I can see this guy seething, burning a hole in

me while i calmly ignore him. I put headphones in, watched some YouTube. 15 mins later, tow truck, one of those crane lift ones, clamps the wheels, lifts it, all very impressive, all the while angry dude is now all smug and smiles now "whatchu gonna do now huh? Cars gone innit! No more car!"
  • 15
He pointed me out to the tow truck driver who offered for me to pay now or later but it'll be overnight impound and fees tomorrow. Which is when i say "not my car mate, i dont drive, this just started yelling at me coz i crossed the street"

There was a bit more yelling and me denying, tow truck driver thought it hilarious i basically said "ok, tow it, got dinner and watched the show" I used to wave at angry man when i saw him which wasnt too often, but his house was on the same road as where i worked, so every few weeks. Could still tell he was angry.

ca... You remind me of a situation I saw recently. A car and a van were stopped at a junction and they two. drivers were having a stand up shouting match at each other. On the side of the van were adverts for "de- stressing your life", "well- being solutions" and "calming meditation and massage".
