TikTok plays too much. Things are just going too far with this Euphoria trend. In December 2020, a Euphoria episode was released where an epic drama bomb was dropped. If you haven't seen it, this might be a bit of a spoiler, but to keep it as vague as possible, one main character finds out that another main character had hooked up with her boyfriend (well, ex-boyfriend… it's complicated).
The episode was a hit, as is the entire series, but this year the scene where the secret comes to light has come back with vengeance on TikTok. Why? Because TikTokers like to take things hilariously too far. In the scene, the character Maddy has nice long manicured nails, and she uses them to emphasizes her anger towards the other character (again, trying to keep things as vague as possible). People saw this immaculate hand acting, and decided to have a go at it themselves on TikTok. But content creators started taking the scene a bit further when it came to the nails.

A snowball effect occurred with this trend—is started with people showing off nice nails. Then the nails started getting longer. And longer… And now people are just putting the most random things on their nails to reenact the scene. You'll see crawfish heads, rulers, condom wrappers, joints, I mean, friggin' anything on these people's nails. The trend has simply become a contents on who can pick the most ridiculous thing to put on their nails to act out the scene. And lemme tell ya, TikTokers do not disappoint.
