High End Nail Artist Goes Viral for Her Story About Taking a Mystery Client and It Turning Out to Be Vladimir Putin

It was the summer of 2015 and Jess Alexander was working at a high end nail salon in Beverly Hills. Their usual clients were A-list celebrities and were often out-calls, which means she would make home visits to these celebs. When she went to do out-calls, that usually meant it would come with the client's own top notch security. This time she was called in to do the nails of a mystery client. She was asked personal questions before she arrived, like the year, make and model of her car, her license plate number, and, of course, her first and last name.

“Honestly, I didn't think it was too weird because sometimes security is that tight," she says. “If you've ever worked on a studio lot, you get it.”

“It was Putin.”

She asked to arrive at 2:30pm on the dot, not early or late. She accidentally arrived at 2:29 and was asked to wait another minute before she was allowed in. There is already a security guard waiting for her at the gate of the house and he stops, checks her ID, and then tells her to pull over to the side for him to “valet” her car—which Alexander suspects was an excuse to go through her car.

She was let in through the “service entrance” and she instantly noticed the house was full of employees, but no one was saying a word. “I cannot emphasize that enough, no one in this house is speaking,” she says. “Full of people, no one is talking.”

The mystery client's assistant goes through her stuff and has her go back around to another entrance. She's led upstairs to the master bathroom where her and all her stuff is inspected one more time and is provided with towels. She is place in front of the window (like a personal shield, she adds) and is told to wait. She asks if she could know the client's name since she would most likely have to ask him some questions for the nail process, and the assistant said she should only speak if she has to and to only refer to him as sir. Then he leaves her to wait.

While she is waiting she realizes the door is locked. She feels a tinge of panic and also realizes she has no signal on her cellphone. While sitting there praying that her co-workers had the address of the place somewhere still just in case she needs rescuing from a creep the mystery client walks in and she thought, “you've got to be f***ing kidding me"—it was Vladimir Putin…

All he gets is his toe nails cut short. No buff, cuticles, nothing. Just a trim, which Alexander says is pretty common with rich folk. After the trim he came back wanting one nail to be filed down a little more, and as she does that a woman walks in, speaks in Russian to Putin smiling, says hello to Alexander in English and then her and Putin left.

After Putin and the woman left, the assistant came back and told Alexander “well, he's happy," and she says with nervous laughter “ok…” The assistant went through Alexander's stuff one more time before she was escorted to her car paid $150 in cash, and she was able to leave.

“The entire time I was think, ”klasjdf;ajf;ajredmc…. Wat???"

Apparently, some of the millions of viewers are trying to say this story has to be fake, be she insist that if she were making up a story, it would be way more exciting than this on. Other viewers are just shocked that the dictator of the largest country in the world has to have a professional nail artist come to his home simply to trim his toenails. Everything about this shocking story is mind-boggling, especially with the current political climate and it poses a lot of questions, like, what was he doing in L.A. in 2015??

Hands down, one of the most bonkers stories ever to be shared on this silly little app.
