TikTokers Played ‘Guess the Celebrity’ Not Knowing Their Friend Grew Up Amish, Hilarious Chaotic Confusion Ensues

TikToker Peyton Dilweg recently posted a video of her friends/room mates just messing around, but ended up going extremely viral. These friends were having some fun and trying to guess names of celebrity when it started to become clear that one of the friends had zero knowledge of pop culture celebrities—to the point where it was kind of freaky. Like, where have you been? This defines the saying “have you been living under a rock?”

Dilweg kept showing her friend SJ photos of very well known faces. Iconic celebrities like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson and SJ would look upon these faces with absolutely no recognition. Dilweg was absolutely shocked by her friend SJ's responses to these celebs. Sure, if it's a new celebrity or someone who isn't that iconic, then that's understandable if you don't recognize their face or know their name. But the king or rock ‘n’ roll?? The king of pop?? These are people who helped shaped pop culture forever. It's amazing that anybody in the entire world isn't able to recognize them.

When they started playing this game Dilweg and her friends were in disbelief. How could she not know these people? But, they soon found out, that their friend SJ was actually raised in an Amish household. The Amish are well known for their refusal to use electricity and their strict societal standards, that include basically ignoring most of pop culture. So, once the fact came out that she was ex-Amish, it all started to make sense. Still, it's still pretty shocking as someone who has grown up immersed in the pop culture to see someone who has no knowledge of it whatsoever.

The videos have gone so viral that Billie Eilish even liked on and Macklemore even started following Dilweg. She also shared that SJ now studies up on pop culture to try and get hip with the times.
