Yet another confirmation that kids are just plain old weird. They say the silliest things. You never really know what to expect.
Many of us can be terribly naive when it comes to painting assumptions about what kinds of sports people have actually seen. You never know if the person you're sitting next to at that next baseball, football, or in this case hockey game is living through their first experience of seeing the sport in action. If anything it's this fresh perspective that can offer hilarious insights about a sport's ridiculous intricacies that we've otherwise been conditioned to overlook. Like really though, the goalie does dip out from his post in hockey quite often. That could get confusing.
This wholesome moment from humanity actually being pretty awesome never fails to hit the spot. Twitter user @solucity shared some hot takes about the great game of hockey ended up landing him at a Blues game. He'd go on to become a superfan, and we can't blame him.
Sometimes there are important questions we must ask ourselves in this life. Like, how are stop motion animations made? Or does lightning get jealous of fireworks? Or, how do car doors actually work? If these deep questions are on your mind, look no further, o weary traveler. We collected some slightly educative GIFs that might answer one or two of your questions. If not, they're still great to look at. Have a peep.
It's official: Anthony Beauvillier has the best friends a guy could ask for. Beauvillier, a professional hockey player for the New York Islanders, tweeted a flirty "hi" at Anna Kendrick on Christmas, and his friends all chipped in to deliver the highest compliments a person could get. Who cares if they were mostly (or all) fabricated? They're still entertaining AF, and we hope that it at least gave Ms. Kendrick a little chuckle, if nothing else!
Happy Canada Day! We realize that the Fourth of July gets all the attention in North America on the first week of July, so we wanted to show our neighbors to the north a little appreciation! When it comes down to it, we're all just colonists after all.
So get out there, go to Tim Hortons and get injured so you can take advantage of that sweet, sweet healthcare that us Americans don't have!
Oh, Canada. The land of bagged milk and hockey fanatics. Of politeness and free healthcare. Of maple syrup and saying "sorry" way too much. At least, those are the stereotypes that we Americans know and love about our friends to the north. Are any of these things actually accurate? We don't know, but we kind of hope so!
MOVE THAT HEAD! That being said, what a game the world got to see between the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs. It was a bit of a nail-biter till the bitter end, when the Bruins managed to pull off a victory, to bring the series back home to Boston for a grand game seven.
When, Tony X. tuned into NHL hockey he was met by a welcomed surprise of awe and adrenaline-charged excitement. I mean, can you blame him. Hockey is fast-moving madness on ice. Bodies are flying left and right, alongside whatever tooth just got punched out most recently, as fans banter and break out in verbal/physical bouts over just about anything. It is a hell of a game, and in this guy's case, he was able to enjoy it live, thanks to the St. Louis Blues pulling through in a huge way!
