Woman Shares Saga of the Elderly Cat She's Babysitting Passing Mid-Pet, Then Has to Convince All of TikTok She Didn't Un-Alive Him

Sometimes life keeps testing you and throwing you difficult lessons and it just gets to a point where all you can do is hysterically laugh cry and give into the feelings of defeat. Why universe? WHY?! Well, TikToker Olivia aka @onlyfriendsbackup shared a day that sounded like potentially the worst day of her life… 

We're not talking like stubbed toe and then ticket on your car. Oh no, Olivia really got the whole shebang—the worst part is that it ended with her realizing she was petting a dead cat…

Olivia was having a horrible day. She was stressed because she was set to take her ACTs the next day. Earlier that day she totaled her car. So, not a good start. On top of pre-testing day nerves and now a totaled car, she had to figure out who she was going to transport herself around. THEN, her Venmo account got hacked, so she had no access to her money, so couldn't even call herself a car. She was also on cat babysitting duty, so at least she could look forward to petting a sweet lil kitty friend—SURELY THAT WOULD BRING HER MOOD UP. 

Lol. Nope. Mid-pet she realizes this cat is stiff as a board. This cat definitely does not look like its breathing. This cat feels cold AF… THIS CAT IS DEAD. Yep, Olivia was aware this was a senior cat, but was unaware that it was on some of its last steps. 

“I had one job and the cat's dead!”

She shared the moment on TikTok of when she realized the cat she was babysitting was done. She's, obviously, very emotional freaking out asking what the heck she's supposed to do!! She had ONE job, and life was like, naaaah, take the night off. She was in tears running around digesting the realization that she was petting a dead cat. The family friends she was cat-sitting for failed to tell her that the cat was experiencing kidney failure and had been peeing all of the house. R.I.P.

TikTokers do what people on the internet do best and start accusing her of the worst—"she unalived the cat." They demanded an explanation!

She obviously did not do anything to hurt this cat. This cat passed of old age and kidney failure. But the Internet loves true crime and everybody was really accusing her of the worst. So, of course, she posted an updated video explaining what exactly went down and denying the cruel accusations. Like, give this pour girl a break! She just had a horrible day and it ended with a family friend's cat leaving for the astral plane in her hands.That's friggin' traumatizing. She assures the concerned viewers that she's dealing with it fine, and that, in fact, she seems to be a magnet for the unlucky, so it was almost a typical day for her.
