"There's No Blood, or Hair, or Bones": Kid is Severely Disappointed When He Tries to Find His Grandpa as a Genie in a Bottle, But Only Finds Ashes

Aren't kids just the darnedest? Being a parent isn't easy, and it's not just the constant crippling anxiety of trying to keep a child alive, but it's also having to make sure they don't do stupid sh*t. Like viral TikToker Derek Lipp's kid. This isn't the first time he's posted about his kid Dawson and the funny antics he gets in, but this is definitely the most entertaining/frustrating one so far. 

As a parent, how do you explain to a child that when some people die they get burned to ashes… Everything about that situation sounds impossible. So, some people just say that's your grandpa in that vase, and then lets that imagination run wild. Sweet little boy Dawson just wanted to see his grandpa I guess, and was surprised with a pile of ashes instead. You can imagine the disappointment.  

Derek tries to explain to Dawson that grandpa isn't literally in the vase, it's just his ashes, but stops himself to realize that his son just said he opened it. He opened the urn. So, the inevitable was to happen, as kids tend to do, he spilled it. He spilled grandpa's ashes all over the ground. 

The kid isn't even phased, he's still just super upset that his grandpa wasn't like a genie in a bottle. When he was told it was just his grandpa's ashes he asks if that's because he was a smoker. The innocence is almost enough for you to forgive him. But omg, grandpa's ashes are on the ground. Even as his dad walks over to the crime scene in frustration moaning to the skies, his son just states that grandpa “ain't no genie in a bottle.” 

A disappointment indeed, for everybody involved. The dad, however, says that his grandpa would've loved this entire hilarious scene. I mean, the kid is having fun with his grandpa beyond the grave, it's kind of poetic if you think about it. Viewers love it and are filling up the comment section in full support of Dawson. “Mortician here, this made my night. I can’t wait to send this to every mortician friend of mine," one viewer said. “Grandpa got the last joke on you lol,” another said. “This is why I can’t be cremated. My reckless grandchildren will have me in a vacuum within the first 6month. 🤣😂,” someone else added.
