He's the best part of my day.
Lucy Topping from London came home from the gym a few days ago and was planning to have a chill evening at home with fine dinner and her favorite TV show. However, in the middle of the show, she looked up and suddenly realized she wasn't alone. On her bookshelf, she saw these two pigeons, staring at her suspiciously, maybe even plotting to drop something on her head. Lucy decided to live-tweet the event as she was trying to get rid of the uninvited guests. Keep on reading how the story unfolds.
Meet the unlikely duo that has the internet melting! Herman (the pigeon) and Lundy (the 8-week-old Chihuahua), both at The Mia Foundation, an organization dedicated to giving pets with birth defects across the country a fighting chance.
Herman is a pigeon who cannot fly, and Lundy is a special needs Chihuahua.
Herman and Lundy were both placed on the same pillow at the New York-based non-profit and they took to each other right away!
"I set Herman on a dog bed and started caring for Lundy, and I decided to carefully put Lundy in the same dog bed next to him," Sue Rogers, who founded The Mia Foundation in 2012, told PEOPLE, of how the adorable friendship moment started.
The pics have since gone viral!
The Las Vegas animal rescue group Lofty Hopes raised concerns over a viral video showing at least two pigeons wearing tiny, almost custom-made cowboy hats in a parking lot. It's unclear who was behind the stunt, but activists were concerned that the hats may have been glued on, harming the birds.
When this person subjected themselves to a nasty stench with hopes to "outstink" their problem neighbor who wouldn't stop feeding an army of pigeons, they earned a pro revenge. Temporary discomfort for an eventual win. Nicely done if we do say so ourselves.

When you think "pigeon", you don't necessarily think of a unique and beautiful bird. Pigeons are common and dirty, not even close to being labeled as "beautiful". However, the Victoria Crowned Pigeon is the beautiful love-child of a pigeon and a peacock. No, not really. Just really looks that way!
With bright blue feathers and a feathered crown on top of it's head, it's totally mesmerizing! Plus, these birds could become as large as a turkey!
If we had to choose, we'd say the Victoria Crowned Pigeon is our favorite "pigeon".
