You don't have to feel guilty about spending time on the internet. Especially not right now. You deserve the laughs (and sometimes disgust) that memes provide. And we've got a whole lot of them right here for you.
There are many levels of funny, and Tumblr's posts reach them all. We're not just talking about laugh out loud funny. We're talking about make-you-cry-funny, WTF-funny, cringe-funny, chuckle-funny, snort-funny, laugh-so-loud-the-whole-office-hears-you-funny. We're talking so funny you will laugh whenever you think about it. Honestly, Tumblr hits the right spot. We owe all the funny people on Tumblr (and also Twitter) our deepest gratitude. Life would be a lot blander without them.
Twitter's always been a hotbed of memes, and that has only become more real since users have been cooped up at home. The latest big Twitter meme is unsurprisingly tied to the completely unavoidable genre of K-Pop. Users are pairing images of celebrities with the legs and thigh-high boots of Thai rapper Lalisa Manoban, a member of the group Blackpink. The first iteration came from @Adventurin2Fear, who lined the images of the boots up with a classic seductive photo of actor Jeff Goldblum. Later memes featured everyone from Timothée Chalamet to Shrek. And judging by the tweets, pretty much everyone would look great with Lalisa's legs. Try it for yourself.
If Thursday's the new Friday, what's the working day that comes after? 'Cause we sure ain't feeling any of that Friday relief. In fact, we feel even more like procrastinating than ever before. If you feel the same way, then we've got you covered with this extra large batch of memes, tweets, and shitposts to curb your restlessness and keep your brain busy.
Fun tidbit: did you know that the Shrek story originated from a 1990 children's book of the same name? Now you do! It was written by cartoonist William Steig and purchased by Stephen Spielberg in 1991.
Now onto the Shrek memes!
This guy successfully pulling off some Shrek wordplay on Tinder, is here to give all the thirsty Tinderers out there some hope. Like bro, it's not even that good. He really forces it a bit, but still, it somehow works out, and next thing you know he's getting the invitation for the "Snapchat add." A bit unanticipated, for sure! But congrats either way. Maybe romance isn't as doomed in the wild world of Tinder, as previously thought.
