Person Epically Schools Homophobic Man Who is Ruthlessly Hitting on Her in a Hospital Waiting Room

TikToker Katelyn aka @katelynbaroness is just on the app to have fun and share some thoughts every now and then like many other people on the Gen-Z centric social media outlet. It's full of funny trends and fun dances, so it's usually a grand ‘ole time. However, recently, Katelyn went viral for the first time with a video portraying a man trying to pick her up while she's in a doctor's office waiting room. There are so many red flags that go up during this entire encounter, but Katelyn handles it beautifully. 

First of all, why would anybody think it's a good idea to hit on someone at the doctor's? That's already mind blowingly disgusting. Katelyn looks obviously uncomfortable from the very start of the interaction and the man either does not notice or seriously does not care. “I felt so uncomfortable, I started recording,” she writes in the video. The man is asking if she's single and then saying he just had to shoot his shot with her because good looking ladies are never single, so he just had to know. Katelyn is keeping her answers short and obviously stand-offish, but he is relentless.

She tells the guy she only likes men (even though that's not entirely true) just to get him to stop talking to her, but instead of the intended result, he goes off on a homophobic rant. “For The Record: I am a queer, sexually fluid person. I am not into men who act like this," Katelyn writes in the comments of the video. She also is very openly queer and goes by she/her and they/them, so her brief answering came to a halt in order to educate this man on why the LGBTQ+ community has right, just like anybody else, to live their dang life in peace.

Man: “Are you Married?”

TikToker: “That's a personal question.”

[Man laughs aggressively/Girl laughs nervously]

Man: “That's personal, huh?”… Nice looking lady, I just had to… 

TikToker: “Oh…”

Man: “All nice looking ladies are taken, ya know? That's the only reason why I asked you. I'm single, you know, so, I had to… I'm just trying”

TikToker: “Yeah, well, I don't like men…but… sorry. Not into men."

Man: “That's REALLY sad.”

TikToker: “Yeah… I think it's pretty great.”

Man: "You're missing out on things."

TikToker: “I mean… okay?” [laughs awkwardly]

Man: “You don't want a man? The greatest gift from god on the Earth, ya know?”

TikToker: “Men are the greatest gift on Earth?”

Man: “No, men AND women. We are. We are. You know what I'm saying? I mean, Adam and Steve! You can't make a baby with Adam and Steve.”

TikToker: “I'm not trying to make a baby though.”

Man: “No, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, if the world was just… I mean, is gay, I mean man-on-man/ women-on-women, there would be no life.”

TikToker: “But that's why there's the beauty that everyone can exist and do what they want and live their lives. ‘Cause there’s some people who do want to get married, man to woman, and have babies and keep the world going and some people don't. Some people just want to live their lives and love who they love and… Who knows? But yeah, that's where I'm at. To each their own.”

After that, the video says “The End," so I guess the man finally gave up. It's upsetting that it took that long, but thank goodness Katelyn was able to feel safe enough to hold her ground and stand up for equality. Hopefully that man left that doctors office pondering a lot of life choices.
