TikTokers are Convinced that all Pet Hamsters Die in Unnecessarily Traumatizing and Upsettingly Hilarious Ways

Trigger warning, everybody… When you're growing up some people get “starter pets”—these are allegedly animals that are easier to take care of then others. Usually that would be something like a goldfish or maybe even a cat. However, many people also get a hamster. These tiny fluff balls seem relatively easy to take care of and are just so cute. But in actuality, they are cannibals, mean, and, apparently, always dying in the most traumatic ways possible. A TikToker recently pointed on this fact, and now others are sharing their traumatizing stories of how their hamster died.

Two Hamsters Down

This girl wanted to bring her dog to “take your pet to school day,” which already sounds like a bad idea. He mom didn't want her to take the dog, so she got her a hamster. That hamster, unfortunately died only days before the day. Her mom felt so bad that she got her another hamster, and the morning of “take your pet to school day," this hamster too died mysteriously. RIP

Fast-forward a couple of months, the cannibal hamster is in its ball and the girl put it on the counter so it wouldn't fall down the steps. This Hamster was returned to the pet shop because it wasn't very nice and also would escape from its cage and chew on wires. The day after they returned it, the pet store burned because one of the rodents escaped and chewed on a wire causing an electrical fire… The girl is convinced it was her hamster.

RIP Baby Hamsters

This girl was just trying to clean the cage of her two dwarf hamsters. She dumped the shavings into the chicken coop, but then heard some weird squeaking. She had her two hamsters in a bucket, so she didn't know what it was. She got her dad who realized it was baby hamster. As he's showing the daughter the baby hamsters, a chicken comes over and starts eating them…
